Meet The Team
Dr Nathalia Araujo
Principal Dentist/Owner
Dr. Nathalia Araujo has graduated in Brazil over 20 years ago and moved to Australia with her husband Leo in 2009. During the 20+ years of experience as a dentist Nathalia has worked with Indigenous communities in the Amazon delivering excellent dental care and taking preventative information not only to the region’s schools but to the regional communities. This was a very enriching and unforgettable experience. Then Nathalia returned to Rio and worked in the private sector until moving to Australia in 2009.
Their first home in Australia was Tasmania where Nathalia worked for over a year in Burnie and also servicing the West Coast where she was the only dentist for quite a few regional towns. Even though it was too cold , Tasmania has a special place in Nathalia’s and Leo’s hearts.
It was time to look for some warmth and beautiful costal life style. Since 2010 Nathalia calls the Sunshine Coast home and she has worked in Noosa for 1 year and also proudly did Mobile dentistry work servicing several aged care facilities in the whole Sunshine Coast.
It was in 2011 when Nathalia and Leo purchased Mountain Top Dental and started their Boutique dental practice in Buderim. Their vision and philosophy have been maintained and holistic , excellent dental care with a gentle and nurturing touch has been at centre of Dr. Nathalia’s unique approach to dentistry for over 10 years.
Creating beautiful smiles is Dr. Nathalia’s passion and she continues studying well beyond the registering board’s requirements each year. Her biggest areas of interest in dentistry are:
Orthodontics:
- Myofunctional - able to restore function in the mouth from young age keeping facial growth patterns ideal , using myobrace technology
- Fixed braces - teens up, using Fastbraces technology
Dr. Nathalia is affiliated to both entities and always keeps updated to the most recent recommendations.
Cosmetics: Dr. Nathalia is passionate about giving conservative, unique and personal options of treatment to enhance smiles giving patients confidence.
Latest cosmetic courses include restorations over implants and porcelain veneers immersions.
Geriatric dentistry: Taking care of the ageing dentition presents several challenges which are all embraced with the most compassion and interest by Dr. Nathalia. Keeping healthy teeth will contribute to improving general health and a confident and functional smile
Aside dentistry Nathalia enjoys spending quality time with hubby and her two beautiful children outdoors and travelling .The beach is always a perfect retreat.

Leo Reis
Practice Manager/Owner
Leo graduated in 1999 as a Dentist in Brazil and for more than 10 years worked as a general practitioner in his homeland. In 2009 Leo relocated from Brazil with Dr Nathalia, his wife, and together they have lived in Australia building their life and their dental practice.
Leo really enjoys living in Australia, especially Buderim, Sunshine Coast, where the weather is perfect and the lifestyle is amazing. What he likes most in his free time is travelling, particularly around Australia, having a better understanding of Australia’s culture and becoming more accustomed to living in this amazing country.
Amal Webster
Patient Coordinator
Amal moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2011.
Embracing the relaxed lifestyle of the coast, it immediately became home. Amal loves the natural beauty of our local beaches and bush lands. She enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, swimming, hiking and seeking out great coffee spots and interesting eateries.
Amal became a patient of Mountain top dental when she first moved to the coast and joined our admin staff in 2020. Here at Mountain Top Dental we pride ourselves on being a Hollistic dental practice that truly cares for our patients and their well being. One of Amal’s favourite aspects of her role is welcoming our patients to the practice and getting to know them. The ultimate reward is seeing our patients leave with a big smile on their face.
